Auditor Programme
Become a NIVAI Authorised Auditor
NIVAI Authorised Auditors are independent professionals who review and countersign AI governance assessments on behalf of organisations seeking Nivaya Certified status. Gate V of the certification requires a countersignature from a registered NIVAI auditor.
Auditors operate independently. NIVAI maintains the auditor register, sets qualification criteria, and issues audit assignments through the Nitivai platform. Auditors are not employees of Nivaya Technologies.
Auditor Tiers
- 3+ years in information security, IT audit, risk, or governance
- Familiarity with AI governance or AI risk management
- Completion of NIVAI-AGF auditor training (provided on approval)
- Signed NIVAI auditor agreement
- All Tier 1 requirements
- Active CPA, CISA, or equivalent professional licence
- Experience conducting SOC 2 engagements
- All Tier 2 requirements
- Affiliation with an accredited certification body
- CB verification completed by NIVAI
Registered Auditors
NIVAI publishes the register of approved auditors. Each listing shows the auditor's tier, jurisdiction coverage, and the frameworks they are authorised to countersign. Organisations seeking certification can use this register to identify and engage a registered auditor for Gate V.

How to Apply
Register through the Nitivai Auditor Portal. Your application will be reviewed by the NIVAI team. Approved auditors receive access to the platform, assigned engagements, and ongoing framework updates.
Applications are reviewed within 10 business days. You will be notified by email with the outcome and, if approved, onboarding instructions.
